Accessibility Statement

Rebility is committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to all people, including those with disabilities.

Last updated: 1 December 2024

Our Commitment

At Rebility, we believe everyone deserves equal access to information and services. As a rehabilitation services provider, accessibility is central to our mission of supporting people through recovery and return to work.

We are committed to: - Providing an inclusive digital experience for all users - Meeting or exceeding web accessibility standards - Continuously improving the accessibility of our website and services - Listening to and acting on feedback from users with disabilities - Training our team on accessibility best practices

Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These internationally recognised guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Our website is designed to be compatible with: - Screen readers and other assistive technologies - Keyboard-only navigation - Screen magnification software - Speech recognition software - Various browsers and devices

We regularly review and test our website to identify and address accessibility barriers.

Accessibility Features

Our website includes the following accessibility features:

Navigation and structure: - Clear, consistent navigation across all pages - Descriptive page titles and headings - Skip-to-content links for keyboard users - Logical reading order and document structure

Visual design: - Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds - Text that can be resized without loss of functionality - No content that relies solely on colour to convey meaning - Focus indicators for keyboard navigation

Content: - Alternative text for images - Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context - Captions and transcripts for multimedia content where applicable - Plain language to improve readability

Forms: - Clearly labelled form fields - Error messages that explain how to correct mistakes - Logical tab order through form elements

Using Assistive Technology

Our website is designed to work with assistive technologies. If you use assistive technology and experience difficulties with our website, please contact us so we can assist you and improve our site.

Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements can be accessed using a keyboard. Use Tab to move forward, Shift+Tab to move backward, and Enter or Space to activate links and buttons.

Screen readers: We design with screen reader compatibility in mind. Our pages use semantic HTML, ARIA labels where appropriate, and descriptive alternative text.

Browser accessibility features: Modern browsers include built-in accessibility features such as zoom, high contrast modes, and text-to-speech. These should work normally with our website.

Alternative Formats

If you need information from our website in an alternative format, please contact us. We can provide:

- Large print versions of documents - Plain text versions of content - Information over the phone - In-person assistance at our office

For rehabilitation assessments and consultations, we make reasonable adjustments to accommodate people with disabilities. Please let us know your needs when booking an appointment so we can ensure appropriate support is available.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, you may encounter some limitations:

PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to update these. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us.

Third-party content: Some content provided by third parties, such as embedded videos or maps, may not meet our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to improve accessibility where possible.

Ongoing improvements: Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly identify areas for improvement and work to address them.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance the accessibility of our website.
